The service
pdftomd.tools provides browser-based PDF ↔ Markdown converters and guides. It is free: there are no accounts, no payments and nothing to buy. You can use it as long as you follow these terms and the law that applies to you.
Your files and rights
You must have the right to use the files and text you convert. Do not process copyrighted material you are not authorised to use, or other people’s private material without their permission.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to break the law, attack or break into it, overload it, spread malware or spam, or harass, defame or impersonate anyone. We may block traffic that does.
What the results do not promise
Conversion is best effort. Output can lose layout, images, styling or structure, and scanned, image-only PDFs are not converted because the tools do not run OCR. Check the result before you rely on it, especially in production or legal contexts.
Provided as is
The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of accuracy or availability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss from using it.
Third-party software
Guides on this site may describe third-party libraries, such as those on the Python page. They are not provided by us, and their own licences and terms apply.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
